Description
Silent color film featuring some of the Harold Edgerton's work done in Monaco with Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Olivier Leenhardt in late summer 1962. The film includes footage of the preparation, deployment and return of the Soucoupe submersible on the Calypso. Also includes footage of a boomer probe being raised and lowered, and of Custeau underwater habitat, "Conshelf I" (yellow and black checked sphere section visible; also known as "Diogène") and the data read-out from the probe.
