Description

Ocean research vessel owned and operated by Jacques Cousteau. The vessel was built as a minesweeper for World War II, then converted to a ferry in Malta before being purchased for Cousteau in 1951. Cousteau used 'Calypso' for his expditions and as a base for underwater technologies.
