Description

Simone Cousteau and archaeologist Ferdinand Lallemand on board CALYPSO handle stacks of dozens of black ceramic dishes (black Campanian ware), retrieved from the ancient Grand Congloué wrecksite in SE France around 1953. A transport amphora is being siphoned with water, possibly to use to rinse off dishes. (CC)
